Relief Architecture: Deconstructivist + Modernism

For this relief architecture project I took concepts rooted throughout the deconstructivist and modernist movements in architecture. The space I chose to begin the relief was the span of an arch. For me, the idea of an arch as a wall makes perfect sense, it also lends some functinality when trying to "hang with gravity".

Materials:
foam board
hemp
pins
